About Us - Our code of ethics
Connection and communication
It is our fundamental mission to connect people who need to do business.
Before becoming consultants, we were ourselves employees of large
corporations. We know how frustrating it is when there is duplication
of effort, unnecessary internal competition, and consultants who
exploit internal divisions. So for our part, we try not to do this.
For example, we won't proceed with some work on behalf of a team
manager without briefing the internal HR/Training & Development
department.
Flexibility
Within reason, we do not charge cancellation fees. Much of our work
is commissioned by internal HR people. You guys are subject to the
whims of management and sudden organisation changes - and we understand
that. The most valuable thing to us is a relationship where both
sides can adapt and change, quickly if necessary.
Honesty
There are some things that can be done within the time and budget
available, and there are some things that cannot. We try to be as
clear and honest as possible about this, and also as specific as
we can about what can be done within constraints.
Confidentiality
We will always be up front about this. Often we talk to various
team members one-to-one before commencing some development work.
If this is best kept confidential to us, we will negotiate this
with you, be clear about it, and stick to it.
Fees
Our work is not a 'licence to continue charging money'. When there
is no more useful progress to be made we will tell you. We always
end up doing slightly more work than we are paid for, and we are
pleased to do so.
