Using Formal / Public Training Courses
Public Training Courses
By 'Public' training courses we mean events that are run for a mixed
group from various organisations, or scheduled internally in larger
firms for all comers.
They have a key role to play, especially for individuals who need
to learn specific subjects and techniques; they are best for the
acquisition of knowledge, or development of functional skills.
However, the point we're making here is that public courses, attended
say by leaders, or one or two members of project teams, have a poor
reputation in making any permanent changes in things such as decision-making,
communication, meetings effectiveness, and so on.
