What can I do myself?
If you're a team leader or an HR person, there is quite a lot you
can do to improve a team's performance. But there are some things
that, unless you're a highly trained faciitator, may raise delicate
issues, and lead to problems that you won't be able to handle.
How can I decide?
One way is to take the team.check questionnaire
on this site. It will help you to think about your team's current
capabiities and will flag up opportunities for improvement. Importantly,
it gives a rating for each type of development challenge - 'low,
medium, high and very high'. We stick to these conventions throughout
the site.
Contact us! We'll happily talk
to you and advise you free of charge.
Look at the checklist below. It grades some of the more common
team and organisation development activities into degrees of difficulty.
You may be able to attempt the low and medium unaided, but ask for
help with the high and very highs!
